Wild Yam is naturally rich in steroidal saponins (Diosgenine - DHEA - Dehydroepiandrosterone) which are used in the body as precursors of oestrogen and progesterone-like compounds. These can be beneficial before, during and after the menopause and in the maintenance of supple joints.
